History

A strong brand with a long and versatile history is facing the challenges of the 21th century. But what means history for us? We do not overestimate our tradition, however the company’s past track is the base and the decisions which have been taken in the past have an impact on the actions of the presence and the opportunities of the future.

The Neumärker history which started in 1894, continued in Hemer city in the industrial region of South-Westphalia since the early 20th century. South-Westphalia is an area with multiple small and medium sized companies and belongs to the most important industry regions in Germany with a focus on the production sector. Neumärker always protected its niche both in the past and its recent future in order to overcome crises. Durability, personality and credibility influence the value-understanding of our company and our partners.

Neumärker was one of the first European home appliances manufacturers after General Electrics. The first waffle iron is dating back to the year 1925. You can even find a Neumärker waffle maker at the Museum of Industrial History in Oberhausen.

THE EXPERIENCES

With an increasing turnover Neumärker had launched the own production of coffin hardware. The company expanded rapidly and established new subsidiaries in Brussels, Milan, Chemnitz and Berlin. The iron foundry in Hemer was bought and evolved over the years. This is the origin of our long-time experience with cast iron and metal processing.
